💾 Firmware Downloads

GPIBEE firmware is actively developed and supported. You can upgrade to the latest release or downgrade to any previous version at any time — no tools, no special software.

How to install firmware

Updating firmware takes about 30 seconds. No proprietary drivers, no special utility needed — GPIBEE exposes itself as a virtual USB drive that you simply copy the firmware file onto.

Step 1 💾
Download & unzip
Pick the version you want from the table below and download the .zip file, then unzip it to get the GPIBee.GFW firmware file (the zip also includes that version's manual & release notes).
Step 2 🔌
Enter update mode
Hold the button for 5 seconds while powered, or hold the button while plugging in the USB cable. A virtual flash drive named GPIBEE will appear on your computer.
Step 3 📥
Drag & drop
Copy the GPIBee.GFW file onto the GPIBEE drive. The device reboots automatically when the transfer completes. Copying can take up to ~10 seconds — let it finish before unplugging.
Step 4
Done
The flash drive disappears and GPIBee restarts with the new firmware. The version is shown in the built-in web interface.
Upgrade or downgrade:The same process works in both directions. You can install any version — newer or older — at any time. Downgrading can be useful to recover from a specific issue or to match a known-good software environment.
Settings are preserved:All device settings (IP configuration, GPIB address, interface options) are stored in non-volatile memory and are not affected by a firmware update. There is no need to reconfigure the device after updating.

Get notified about new firmware

Subscribe to hear when a new firmware version is released. You can unsubscribe at any time — every notification includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe directly below.

Your email address is only ever used to notify you about new firmware. No confirmation email is sent when you subscribe or unsubscribe — the confirmation appears here on the page. Unsubscribing permanently deletes your address from our system — nothing is kept on file afterwards.

💡
Power interrupted mid-update? No problem.
If the USB cable is accidentally disconnected while copying the firmware file, there is nothing to worry about. The bootloader is stored separately and is protected — it cannot be overwritten. To retry, simply hold the button while plugging in the USB cable to re-enter update mode, then drag and drop the file again.
